MEDIA, Pa. -- Senior Pat Gallagher (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) poured in a career-high 32 points on 14-of-20 shooting as the Penn State Brandywine men's basketball team rolled to a 95-65 victory over Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday afternoon.

Gallagher needed to play just 25 minutes to set a new career-high point total. He knocked down four three-pointers and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Quentin Beasley (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) contributed 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Ketquan Gatewood (Detroit, Mich./Detroit Collegiate Prep) collected his fourth double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, helping Brandywine earn its first conference win of the year.

As a team, the hot-shooting Lions connected on nearly 52 percent of their shots from the field and held Lehigh Valley to 34 percent shooting. Brandywine also held a big edge on the boards, outrebounding PSULV 57-40.

Brandywine broke the game wide open during the first half following a 25-4 surge spanning nearly eight minutes. Beasley's back-to-back baskets got the run started, while Gallagher moved the lead to 20 points for the first time with a jumper at the 8:08 mark.

Persaud followed with four free throws before layups from Donald Jones (Philadelphia, Pa./The Christian Academy) and Gatewood made the margin 43-17.

Brandywine continued to push the pace late in the half, ending the first period with eight-straight points, including six from Beasley, to lead by 31 at the break.

Lehigh Valley rallied to within 21 down during the second half, but Beasley's three-point play with 4:25 to go capped a 7-0 spurt and the Lions would cruise to the finish.

Brandywine (3-2, 1-1 PSUAC) will be idle until Tuesday, Dec. 3 when the Lions visit Penn State Scranton at 8:00 pm.
