ASTON, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine baseball team celebrated Senior Night by recording a pair of 10-0 victories over Penn State Scranton on Friday night. The wins pushed Brandywine's winning streak to 13-straight games.

Game One: Penn State Brandywine 10, Penn State Scranton 0

Connor Thompson (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) fired his second-straight, complete-game shutout to earn his conference-high seventh win of the season. Thompson allowed just two hits in six innings on the mound.

Baughman's two-run home run got the scoring started for the Lions in the first inning. Max Tavarez (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) scored via error in the third to make the score 3-0.

One frame later, Brandywine doubled its lead to 6-0 as Baughman, DeGirolamo and Toby Skeans (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) all delivered run-scoring singles.

Brandywine put the game away with four more scores in the sixth. Sam Benvignati (Aston, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) plated Snyder with a base hit and Ryan Brown (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) followed with a two-run single. Lawton capped the scoring with a base hit that pushed Brown across the plate.

Game Two: Penn State Brandywine 10, Penn State Scranton 0

Jaylen Bryant (Brooklyn, N.Y./High School of Telecommunications) posted a complete-game shutout and Brandywine scored during every inning to finish off the doubleheader sweep in the nightcap.

Bryant struck out five and yielded four singles over six innings on the mound to improve to 4-1 this spring.

Baughman went 3-for-3 with four runs scored, while Shawn Webb (Drexel Hill, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) had two hits and swiped three bases. Tavarez also notched two hits and three stolen bases, while driving in three runs.

Baughman and Benvignati registered consecutive run-scoring singles, while Tavarez added a run with a ground ball to give Brandywine a 3-0 edge through one inning.

The Lions scored unearned runs during the second and third innings before Webb crossed home via wild pitch in the fourth and worked a bases-loaded walk in the fifth. Tavarez drove in two more runs in the sixth to complete the Lions' offensive output.

Brandywine (19-8, 12-2 PSUAC) travels to Scranton to complete the four-game series Saturday beginning at 5:00 PM.
