Baughman Selected As PSUAC Hitter Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine center fielder Cam Baughman (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week on Tuesday.

Baughman hit .565 with two home runs, 11 runs batted in and 12 runs scored, helping Brandywine extend its team-record winning streak to 15-straight games following six triumphs last week. He recorded a hit in all six games and has hit safely during every game of Brandywine's winning streak.

Baughman recorded a four-hit game against Central Penn on Tuesday when he homered and drove in five runs. He followed with five hits, including another home run, four RBI and five runs scored during a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Scranton three days later.

In 28 games this spring, Baughman ranks second in the PSUAC with 43 hits, including a conference-leading 24 extra-base knocks. His five home runs are tied for the third-highest total in the league, while his 31 runs scored and 30 RBI are tied for eighth among PSUAC hitters.

Brandywine (21-8, 14-2 PSUAC) hosts Central Penn at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Glen Mills School.
