AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- Anna Maria scored during each of the first six innings to pull away with a 12-1 victory over the Penn State Brandywine baseball team Tuesday night at the RussMatt Invitational.
Cam Baughman (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) tripled and scored via wild pitch during the bottom of the first inning to account for the Lions' lone run.
Baughman recorded two of Brandywine's four hits, while Ryan Snyder (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) walked and stole two bases.
Ty Coccia (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) allowed five runs and struck out one during the first three innings and took the loss. Campbell Smith (Cape Coral, Fla./Cape Coral), one of three Brandywine relievers, tossed a scoreless seventh frame.
Brandywine (3-3) closes out play at the RussMatt Invitational with a Wednesday morning doubleheader against Elms beginning at 9:00 AM.
