Opdenaker Named PSUAC Goalie Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine sophomore Joe Opdenaker (Lenni, Pa./The Christian Academy) was selected as the Penn State University Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday.

Opdenaker helped Brandywine to a season-opening victory over Central Penn last Thursday by recording his first-career shutout. He turned away the only shot he faced late in the second half as the Lions rolled to an 8-0 triumph.

Opdenaker upped his career record to 4-1 during his fourth start over the last two seasons. He owns a 3.21 goals-against average and .676 save percentage in six career outings.

Brandywine visits Gwynedd Mercy on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
