Banks Lands USCAA Player Of The Week; Bush Adds PSUAC Weekly Accolade

MEDIA, Pa. -- After recording her 100th career point, Penn State Brandywine sophomore Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) was named USCAA and PSUAC Player of the Week, while classmate Emily Bush (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) claimed the PSUAC Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday.

Banks became Brandywine's first-ever women's soccer player to reach 100 career points on Saturday in a 6-0 victory over Penn State Beaver. Her goal just 3:15 into the match gave Banks an even 100 points in just her 25 career matches. In total she netted three goals and two assists during the match before adding an assist on Christina Kane's (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) game-winning goal in double overtime on Monday.

Banks is leading the conference with 17 goals and 38 total points, ranking fourth nationally in both categories. She now owns 47 goals and 13 assists for 107 points during her 26-match career.

Bush, now a six-time PSUAC Goalkeeper of the Week this season, added two more victories to her resume last week. She earned her fourth shutout of the fall against Beaver and stopped two shots overall last week.

A First Team All-PSUAC performer as a freshman, Bush tops all PSUAC goalies in goals-against average (0.87), save percentage (.827), victories (9) and shutouts (5). Her career record stands at 22-2-1 in two seasons at Brandywine with 13 of those victories coming as shutouts.

Brandywine (9-0-1) closes out the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 24 with a 3:00 PM match at Misericordia.
