Donahue Brothers Celebrated On USCAA All-Senior Teams

NORFOLK, Va. – Penn State Brandywine baseball seniors Sean Donahue (Ridley, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) and Tom Donahue (Ridley, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) were two of the 20 senior baseball players to receive recognition on the United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-Senior Team released on Wednesday.

The USCAA presented the all-senior squad in lieu of a spring all-American team to highlight the top graduating student-athletes based on cumulative career statistics and achievements.

Both Sean and Tom played two seasons of baseball at Delaware County Community College before arriving at Brandywine for the 2018-19 academic year.

Sean Donahue was the Lions' starting second baseman during the last two seasons, recording 36 hits, 22 RBI and 15 runs scored in 47 games. He made 37 starts during his lone full season at Brandywine in 2019, collecting 19 runs batted in and eight stolen bases, while batting .290.

Tom Donahue started at both corner infield positions during his 45-game career with the Lions. As a junior, he led Brandywine in hitting, batting .373, while ranking second on the team in runs scored with 33. Overall, Donahue produced a .346 career average with 43 runs, 16 stolen bases and 10 RBI.

The brothers both earned a pair of USCAA National Academic Team and PSUAC All-Academic Team awards. Sean and Tom each graduated this spring with a degree in Communications, Arts and Sciences after earning cumulative grade-point averages of greater than 3.8 during their time at Penn State Brandywine.
