Brandywine Hosts Dig Pink Saturday
MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team will host its ninth-annual Dig Pink event in conjunction with its home quad match this Saturday. For the first time, Brandywine's women's soccer team will join in the event, which raises money for breast cancer awareness.
In partnership with the Side-Out Foundation, Brandywine volleyball has raised more than $4,000 during the last seven years. The teams will be collecting donations on Saturday, while supporters can also donate directly to Brandywine's page on the Side-Out Foundation website.
Additionally, the teams are asking supporters to fill out a flyer telling us who you fight for. This can be anyone you know who has been affected by any type of cancer, not just breat cancer. Please see a member of the volleyball team or athletic staff to fill out a flyer. Flyers will be posted throughout the gym on Saturday.
Saturday will feature three Brandywine volleyball matches, and four volleyball matches overall, along with a men's and women's soccer doubleheader.
