MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- After batting .667 last week, Penn State Brandywine's Tom Osenbach (Newtown Square, Pa./West Chester Christian) was selected as the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week on Tuesday.

Osenbach recorded a hit in all five games, including an 5-for-5 performance in the opening game of a doubleheader against Beaver on Sunday. He added three more hits in the nightcap for an 8-for-9 day at the plate. Earlier in the week, Osenbach tallied four hits and drove in three runs during a 16-4 victory over Valley Forge.

Five of his 10 hits went for extra bases and Osenbach collected eight RBI, while scoring five runs.

The national leader in doubles, Osenbach owns 13 two-base hits in 28 games, while also ranking among the top 20 in the USCAA in hits (8th - 40), batting average (11th - .430), runs batted in (14th - 24) and on-base percentage (17th - .514).

Earlier this spring, Osenbach recorded his 100th career hit and has since upped that total to 121. He also owns 91 RBI and 63 runs scored during his career.

Brandywine visits Penn State Schuylkill for a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 pm.
