FAYETTEVILLE, Pennsylvania – Second-seeded Penn State Brandywine avoided elimination in the PSUAC Baseball Tournament after rallying to defeat No. 5 Penn State Schuylkill 5-3 on Thursday morning.

With the victory, Brandywine faces No. 3 Beaver at 12:30 on Thursday in another elimination game.

Already leading 1-0, Schuylkill used a pair of RBI singles to increase its lead to 3-0 after three innings.

Gabe Encarnacion (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) crossed home with Brandywine's first run after scoring on Anthony Bianchini's (Long Island, N.Y./Long Beach) base hit in the bottom of the third.

John Gorgone (Ridley, Pa./Ridley) led off the fourth with a double and came around to score on Keenan's single. Keenan knotted the score at 3-3 after stealing second and third and scoring on a throwing error.

Brandywine put together a two-out rally to take the lead in the fifth. Bianchini got it started with a single and Evan Cline (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) reached on an error. After Gorgone loaded the bases with a single, Keenan delivered a two-run base hit to put Brandywine in front.
