ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Olivia Encarnacion (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) scored 22 points and Penn State Brandywine knocked previously-unbeaten Penn State Lehigh Valley out of first place in the PSUAC with a 74-68 victory on Wednesday night.
Brandywine, which avenged a home loss to Lehigh Valley in December, upped its conference mark to 4-3, while Lehigh Valley dropped to 6-1.
Encarnacion buried a trio of three pointers, sank all five of her free throw attempts and pulled down a season-best nine rebounds, while adding three steals.
Melanie Kempf (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) delivered a season-best 13 points and Cashae Hinton (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) contributed eight points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. Alyssa Abbonizio (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) added eight points and six boards.
Brandywine trailed by three points at the half, but outscored the hosts 49-40 over the final 20 minutes to earn its 10th victory of the season.
The Lions return home Saturday against Bryn Mawr at 1:00 pm.
