DeBooth And Manful Receive Third Weekly Selections

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Elijah DeBooth (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) and Chris Manful (Baltimore, Md./Woodlawn) were both hailed as players of the week for the third time this season by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association on Tuesday.

DeBooth was named goalkeeper of the week for the fifth time in his career after posting a pair of shutout victories last week. He blanked Gwynedd Mercy on Monday and followed with a clean sheet against Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

DeBooth is 6-0-2 with a league-high four shutouts in eight starts this fall. He also owns the conference lead in goals-against average (0.77) and save percentage (.818), while making 27 saves.

Manful grew his PSUAC and USCAA scoring lead and extending his point streak to seven-straight games last week. He totaled 14 goals and two assists, pacing the Lions' offensively during a 4-0 week.

Manful scored seven times, all during the first half, in a win at Penn State Scranton on Monday. He also tallied four of Brandywine's five goals against Penn State Lehigh Valley and produced a hat trick versus Penn State Mont Alto.

Manful tops all PSUAC and USCAA scorers by a wide margin, recording 20 goals and four assists for 44 points through 11 matches.

Brandywine faces Wilson College Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
