Landis Named PSUAC Hitter of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine freshman Payton Landis (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) was selected as the Penn State University Athletic Conference's Softball Hitter of the Week on Thursday.

Through 11 games this spring, Landis is batting a team-leading .552 with three home runs and 10 runs batted in. She homered during the team's final three games during its Spring Break trip to Florida, knocking in six runs during that time. Overall, six of her 16 hits have gone for extra bases.

Landis has hit safely in 9-of-11 games, collecting five multi-hit efforts this season. She posted a season-best three hits during her college debut against Swarthmore on March 3 and drove in four runs in a win over Olivet College on March 11.
