Brandywine Softball Welcomes Rebecca Halford

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine softball team welcomed another member of its class of 2024 as Rebecca Halford has signed with the team.

Halford was a four-year varsity starting pitcher at nearby Garnet Valley High School. A First Team All-Delco and First Team All-Central League honoree as a junior, Halford fired three perfect games during her high school career: one during her freshman season and two more as a junior. Overall, Halford completed her scholastic career with 38 victories, 50 complete games, 248 strikeouts and a 2.10 earned run average. 

As a sophomore, Halford led Garnet Valley to a fourth place finish at the district level and an appearance in the PIAA state tournament. Halford was also selected to compete for Delaware County in the Carpenter Cup following her sophomore and junior seasons. 

Halford joins Haley Cisco, Hayley Coale, Meghan Ferry, Sarah Moore, Jacie Sparacino and Jennie VanSciver as new members of the 2020-21 Penn State Brandywine softball team.
