Softball Adds Meghan Ferry To Class Of 2024

MEDIA, Pa. -- New Jersey native Meghan Ferry recently signed to continue her softball and academic career at Penn State Brandywine beginning this fall.

Ferry was a highly-decorated, three-sport standout at Gloucester City High School in New Jersey, earning varsity letters in softball, basketball and cross country.

A three-year team captain and team most valuable player in softball, Ferry was named all-state. She also earned three All-Tri-County Conference honors and claimed All-South Jersey accolades twice. Gloucester City won three Tri-County Conference titles during Ferry's first three seasons with the team and won a South Jersey Group I championship.

Also a team MVP in basketball and two-time cross country team MVP, Ferry spent two years as a basketball team captain.

Outside of athletics, Ferry served as secretary of the National Honor Society at Gloucester City.

Ferry chose to attend Penn State Brandywine "because after visiting so many schools, Penn State felt the most like home. Everyone I met while on my visit welcomed me with open arms. I also wanted to continue my softball career at a high level and Penn State was the best fit."

Ferry is joined in Brandywine softball's class of 2024 by Haley Cisco, Sarah Moore and Jacie Sparacino. Head Coach Mark Caserta will enter his eighth season in charge next spring as the team attempts to win a sixth-straight Penn State University Athletic Conference title.
