Altimari Named To USCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Council

MEDIA, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine junior Hayden Altimari (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. Anthony's) has been named to the National Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

The mission of the SAAC is to enhance the student-athlete experience by giving students a voice at the national level, fostering opportunity and promoting a positive student-athlete image. The members of the USCAA National SAAC will also work to enhance the student-athlete and team experience at USCAA national championships and other nationally-sponsored events throughout the year.

Altimari, a member of the Brandywine baseball team, was one of 14 student-athletes from USCAA member institutions, representing each of the Association's national championship sports, named to the first-ever advisory council.

A baseball team captain, Altimari is also a member of the Penn State University Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has served as president of Brandywine's SAAC for two years.

Altimari, who was a PSUAC All-Academic Team selection in 2020, has played in 32 career games with the Lions, owning a .270 batting average with one home run and 14 runs batted in.
