DeBooth, Manful Earn Second PSUAC Player Of The Week Selections

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Elijah DeBooth (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) and Chris Manful (Baltimore, Md./Woodlawn) both earned their second player of the week selection of the fall from the Penn State University Athletic Conference on Wednesday. DeBooth was named Goalkeeper of the Week, while Manful was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week by the league.

DeBooth helped Brandywine to a 2-0 mark against NCAA Division III opponents last week by stopping six of the seven shots he faced. He saved two shots against Gallaudet during the first 45 minutes as Brandywine produced an 8-0 shutout. Three days later, DeBooth turned away four shots, while playing all 90 minutes of a 2-1 victory over Wilson.

DeBooth has started 12 matches this fall and owns a 7-3-2 record. In addition to leading the PSUAC in victories, DeBooth owns a conference-topping three shutouts and a 1.12 goals-against average.

Manful had a hand in five of Brandywine's 10 goals last week, recording two goals and three assists. He scored twice and added a helper against Gallaudet before assisting on both goals during the Lions' victory over Wilson.

The leading scorer in the PSUAC in 2022, Manful again tops the conference in goals with 13 and total points with 30. In two years at Brandywine, Manful has recorded 51 goals and 13 assists for 115 points.

Brandywine (8-3-2, 1-0-1 PSUAC) visits Penn State Lehigh Valley on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
