Barragan, Manarpaac Secure Final PSUAC Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week Awards

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Jayden Barragan (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) and Will Manarpaac (Boerne, Texas/Samuel V. Champion) claimed the Penn State University Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards as Barragan earned offensive player of the week and Manarapaac received goalkeeper of the week honors on Tuesday.

Barragan scored the go-ahead goal in a 2-0 PSUAC Championship victory over Penn State New Kensington last Tuesday. His goal during the 61st minute helped propel Brandywine to its seventh-straight conference title. Manarpaac did not face a shot in the conference championship match, recording his eighth shutout in as many starts this fall.

Barragan earned First Team All-PSUAC laurels for the second-straight year after totaling six goals and 10 assists. He ranks second on the team in assists and fourth in total points (22).

Manarpaac has started the last seven matches for the Lions and appeared in 12 games overall this season. He owns an 8-0 record with 14 saves and has not yielded a goal in more than 835 minutes in net.

Brandywine (17-3-2) opens USCAA Tournament pool play Saturday at 3:30 PM.
