Brandywine Sweeps Two At PSUAC Quad Match

WILKES BARRE, Pennsylvania – Penn State Brandywine improved to 3-0 in PSUAC volleyball play after dominating Penn State Scranton and Penn State Wilkes Barre on Saturday afternoon. The Lions claimed both matches in three sets.

Brandywine recorded 41 aces during the pair of contests led by Kelsi Wiest's (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) eight and Nikki Poissant's (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) seven. Poissant added 10 kills, while Halee Kusner (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) paced the team with 12.

Nicole Costa (Lansdowne, Pa./Upper Darby) collected eight kills and recorded seven blocks (five solo) and Kusner tallied three blocks.

Miranda Biondi (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) dished out 39 assists, while Kim Russo (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) recorded 13 digs against Wilkes Barre and 16 overall. Poissant and Wiest both registered seven digs versus Wilkes Barre.

Brandywine (5-1, 3-0 PSUAC) travels to Penn State Lehigh Valley for another quad match on Sunday afternoon beginning at noon.
