Poissant Selected PSUAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania -- Penn State Brandywine's Nikki Poissant (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) has been selected as the PSUAC Volleyball Player of the Week the league office announced on Tuesday.

Poissant set down 34 kills and tallied 36 digs, while adding seven aces and three blocks in three matches. During Brandywine's five-set defeat versus Bryn Mawr, Poissant posted career highs with 16 kills and 19 digs.

On Saturday, her eight-kill, nine-dig performance helped Brandywine knock off Penn State Mont Alto in three sets in a matchup of two of the PSUAC's three previously-unbeaten teams.

In 11 matches this season, Poissant leads the team and stands tied for fifth in the conference with 74 kills, while ranking nine in both aces (27) and digs (77).

Brandywine travels to Penn State Schuylkill for a pair of PSUAC matches on Wednesday night beginning at 5:00 pm.
