Lineman Awarded Player Of The Week Honors

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine sophomore Zoey Lineman (West Deptford, N.J./GCIT) was selected as the women's soccer player of the week by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Penn State University Athletic Conference on Tuesday.

Lineman played two ways during Brandywine's two matches last week, starting in goal in the season opener at Rosemont and played in the field in a triumph at Valley Forge Saturday.

Against Rosemont, Lineman stopped 10 shots, including seven during the first half. Three days later, Lineman netted three goals as Brandywine claimed its first win of the season by a 10-0 score at Valley Forge. Lineman scored twice during the final 12 minutes of the first half and completed her hat trick by adding a third goal during the 48th minute. The goals were the first three of Lineman's two-year career.

Brandywine (1-1) finishes a three-game road trip Tuesday afternoon at Gwynedd Mercy at 4:00 PM.
