Walleekendeh Named Honorable Mention All-American By USCAA

CHARLESTON, West Virginia -- The USCAA released its men's soccer all-American teams at its annual awards banquet on Wednesday night, announcing that Penn State Brandywine sophomore Bill Walleekendeh (Chester, Pa./Chester) earned honorable mention laurels.

Walleekendeh was the lone player from the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference to be honored after leading the league in goals and total points.

Brandywine's first men's soccer all-American since 2011, Walleekendeh ranks third nationally with 23 goals and 51 total points, while starting 16 matches for the Lions.

During a seven-game stretch in October, Walleekendeh tallied 19 goals, including five-score matches against Penn State Schuylkill and Valley Forge. He netted the game-winning goal during Brandywine's PSUAC Tournament semifinal victory over Beaver on Oct. 25.

Walleekendeh has registered 23 goals during each of his first two seasons at Brandywine, while amassing 14 assists for 106 total points.

Brandywine, which won its second-straight conference title, faces Cleary University (Mich.) on Thursday morning in a USCAA Tournament consolation match during its season finale.
