SCRANTON, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine closed out the regular season with a 15-3 victory at Penn State Scranton on Friday afternoon, clinching the Penn State University Athletic Conference softball regular season title for the second-straight season. Game two of the doubleheader was cancelled due to rain.

Brandywine has earned the top seed in the PSUAC Tournament after finishing with a 12-1 mark against PSUAC opponents this spring. Tournament play begins Saturday, May 7 at Penn State Hazleton.

Three batters later, Stritzinger sent a triple to right field that scored Steph Harvey (Berlin, B.J./Eastern Regional) and Julie Foeldes (Kendall Park, N.J./South Brunswick) finished scoring with an RBI single.

Brandywine put the game away with a four-run fourth as Katie DeStefano (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) recorded a run-scoring single and Katy Steffen (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) blasted a three-run home run, her second of the season.

Arianna Segich (Ocean City, N.J./Ocean City) went 4-for-5 at the plate with one RBI and a run scored, while Stritzinger and Foeldes both tallied three hits in four at-bats. DeStefano and Steffen both crossed home three times and Allman drove in three runs.
