Gia Cetroni Tabbed As PSUAC Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Gia Cetroni (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Cetroni helped Brandywine win a pair of conference matches last week, the Lions' first 2-0 start to conference play since 2019.

Cetroni assisted on Jess James' (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) go-ahead goal during Brandywine's 3-2 victory over Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday. She recorded seven of Brandywine's 43 shots during the Lions' 3-1 win at Penn State Beaver four days later.

Cetroni, who was a First Team All-PSUAC standout in 2022, tops the Lions with two assists this season. She owns 26 points on nine goals and eight assists during 28-career matches.

Brandywine (2-1-1, 2-0 PSUAC) hosts Bucks County Community College on Tuesday at 4:00 PM.
