Brandywine Rolls Past Hazleton 6-0

HAZLETON, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine picked up its third-straight Penn State University Athletic Conference women's soccer victory as the Lions cruised to a 6-0 triumph at Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday night.

Jess James (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) recorded her third consecutive multi-goal effort with a pair of scores, while the Lions received goals from five players overall. Gia Cetroni (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) and Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) both tallied a goal and an assist.

Cetroni assisted on James' marker that got the scoring started at the 7:36 mark of the first half. Twenty-two minutes later, Zoey Lineman (West Deptford, N.J./GCIT) added a goal off a feed from Priemon to up the count to 2-0 at the half.

Brandywine poured it on during the final 45 minutes, scoring four times, including three in a span of five minutes.

James notched her second goal during the 49th minute, while Cetroni got a late Lions' scoring run started by finding the back of the net at the 66:21 mark. Hannah Dyer (Southampton, Pa./William Tennett) scored after taking a pass from Delaney Wenner (Middletown, Del./Delaware Military Academy) two minutes later and Priemon completed the scoring during the 72nd minute.

Brandywine put 26 shots on goal, including nine from James, six by Cetroni and five from Priemon.

Demareste Dorvilma (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) and Emily Orr (Eddystone, Pa./Ridley) combined to record the shutout in net. Dorvilma stopped four shots during the first 71:22, while Orr made one save over the final 18 minutes.

Brandywine (8-4-1, 7-1 PSUAC) returns home for its final non-conference matchup of the year Friday when the Lions host Christendom at 2:00 PM.
