Brandywine Baseball Welcomes Ty Coccia To Class Of 2025

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine baseball team announced its first recruit in the class of 2025 as Ty Coccia signed with the team.

Coccia, a left-handed pitcher, played four years of baseball and earned two varsity letters at West Chester East High School. In 2019, he was selected as the winner of the Viking Award, which honors the top leader among the team.

Academically, Coccia was a four-year honor roll student.

Coccia said he chose to attend Penn State Brandywine because "I saw the amazing opportunity given to me to play college baseball. This was my dream as a child and seeing that Coach Gallo was willing to give me the opportunity to achieve this, I knew Penn State was the place for me."

Brandywine baseball finished the 2021 season with a 13-8 record after earning its first-ever bid to the USCAA World Series.
