Barrouk Earns Academic All-Area Selection

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior Bryce Barrouk (Glen Mills, Pa./Rustin) was was named to the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Men's Basketball Team on Tuesday.

Barrouk was one of just five student-athletes from the more than 30 colleges and universities in the Greater Philadelphia area to be selected to the Academic All-Area Team.

After finishing a historic career with the Brandywine men's basketball team this winter, Barrouk is set to graduate in May with a degree in business management. He entered the spring semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.67.

At the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, Barrouk was named national player of the year by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, while also earning conference player of the year honors from the Penn State University Athletic Conference. A two-time all-American and three-time all-conference standout, Barrouk averaged a career-high 18.9 points and 11.1 rebounds per game in 27 contests, while helping the Lions finish first in the PSUAC East Division during the regular season. Barrouk remained one of the top shooters in the USCAA, connecting on over 42 percent of his three-point attempts.

Barrouk concluded his four-year career at Brandywine with 1,749 points, second all-time in program history. He is also the Lions' leader in career three-pointers (275) and ranks among the program's top rebounds with 825 career boards.

Academically, Barrouk landed his second USCAA National Academic Team award in March and is a three-time PSUAC All-Academic Team selection.
