PSUAC Selects Tom Osenbach As Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- The Penn State University Athletic Conference announced that Penn State Brandywine senior third baseman Tom Osenbach (Newtown Square, Pa./West Chester Christian) was selected as the league's hitter of the week on Tuesday.

Osebnach helped lift Brandywine to its first victory of the season on March 5 as he smacked a go-ahead, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning in a 7-5 triumph over Trinity International. The pair of runs batted in gave Osenbach 100 during his four-year career with the Lions.

Overall during Brandywine's Spring Break trip to Vero Beach, Fla., Osenbach batted .350 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. Through nine games, Osenbach boasts a team-best .419 batting average and is tied for the team lead with seven runs batted in.

A two-time USCAA All-American, Osenbach has recorded 141 hits and 102 RBI in 108 games during the last three-plus
seasons at Brandywine.

Brandywine (2-7) hosts Wilkes University Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 pm at Maple Zone in Aston.
