Brandywine Softball Welcomes Taylor D'Attilio

MEDIA, Pa. -- Taylor D'Attilio will play for the Penn State Brandywine softball team beginning in 2021-22 after signing with the Lions.

D'Attilio played at the varsity level each year at Cedar Creek High School, beginning with her freshman year, when she homered in her first-ever high school at-bat. As a senior, D'Attilio has posted 45 hits in 85 at-bats to earn a spot in Cedar Creek's 100-hit club. She added three home runs and 45 RBI, helping Cedar Creek record a 20-3 record and reach the South Jersey Group II finals.

Also a three-year letter winner in field hockey, D'Attilio was named Cedar Creek's rookie of the year in 2018 and earned the Varsity Scholar Award on two occasions. She is a four-year member of the Honor Roll.

In addition, D'Attilio was selected by her coaches and administration to be a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, which focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, encouragement and being a team player that prioritizes team success and builds team chemistry and other positive qualities in sports.

On the club side, D'Attilio played travel ball for the Firecrackers Softball Team and the South Jersey Maniacs, winning numerous local and regional tournaments.

"Penn State Brandywine was an easy choice for me. I loved the small, hometown feeling of the campus and the surrounding community. I feel like the small size of the campus and classrooms will allow me to thrive and prosper as an athlete and a student. I'm looking forward to joining the Penn State family!" said D'Attilio.
