Softball Welcomes Gianna Casale To Class Of 2025

MEDIA, Pa. -- Gianna Casale will continue her softball career when she joins the Penn State Brandywine softball team this fall.

Casale earned four varsity letters in softball at Steinert High School in New Jersey. She led Steinert to the 2018 Group III state championship and won the New Jersey Tournament of Champions during the same year. One year later, Casale helped Steinert win the Mercer County Tournament and Colonial Valley Conference championship.

As a member of the Central Jersey A's travel team, Casale was the squad's MVP in three-straight seasons. In 2017, she won a Pony National Championship in Virginia and USA Softball of New Jersey Championship. The following year, Central Jersey finished fourth at the national championship. An outfielder, Casale was acknowledged for her cannon arm in 2020 and led the team in doubles in 2016.

Casale chose to attend Penn State Brandywine because "I had researched several schools and I felt that Penn State Brandywine seemed like a good fit for me to pursue my softball and academic careers. Furthermore, I wanted to choose a school where I felt as if they were my family."
