MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine center fielder Meghan Ferry (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester City) was named United States Collegiate Athletic Association Hitter of the Week for the second consecutive week on Tuesday.

Ferry hit .412 with five hits in 12 at-bats last week. She slugged two more home runs in four games, while hitting safely in each, and is now tied for the USCAA lead with five long balls this spring.

Five of Ferry's 14 runs batted in this season came last week, including a pair of two-RBI games during a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Scranton. She also scored six runs and stole a base. Ferry set a season high by crossing home three times in game one against Scranton.

Through 17 games this spring, Ferry owns a team-high 20 hits, nine of which have gone for extra bases, and 18 runs scored. She is batting .400 and slugging .800, while stealing six bases in as many attempts.

Brandywine (12-6, 2-0 PSUAC) begins an eight-game road trip Thursday at Swarthmore at 3:00 PM.
