Floyd, Koger Earn All-PSUAC Recognition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine senior Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was named to the All-Penn State University Athletic Conference First Team, while sophomore Kiara Koger (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) was a second team honoree when the all-conference awards were announced on Friday.

Floyd finished second in the league in scoring at 18.1 points per game, while starting all 26 contests this winter. She recorded 11 20-point games and crossed the 30-point mark three times, all against conference competition. Floyd's career-high 36-point effort against Penn State Mont Alto tied for the fourth-highest, single-game scoring performance in program history.

In addition to shooting 45 percent from the field, Floyd was the fourth-ranked three-point shooter at a 35 percent clip, making 52 triples overall.

The team leader in steals, Floyd also ranked fourth in the PSUAC, averaging 3.0 steals per outing. She added 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. She produced four double-doubles.

A starter in all 26 games, Koger averaged 10.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game.

Koger produced double-figure scoring 16 times, including a season-high 19 points at Penn State Greater Allegheny in December, while grabbing at least 10 rebounds eight times. She tallied six double-doubles.

Koger finished third in the league in assists and 13th in rebounding. She was the only player in the PSUAC to rank in the top 15 in both categories. Koger also stood 13th in the conference with 55 steals.

In addition, junior Kaitlyn Johnson (Clifton Heights, Pa./Upper Darby) received the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award. Named after former PSUAC Commissioner John Fritz, the sportsmanship award is given to one player from each team in the league who best displays the core values of the league and sportsmanship to teammates and opponents throughout the season. Johnson appeared in all 26 games, recording 4.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.
