Farrell Everett Named PSUAC Hitter Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior catcher Farrell Everett (Wynnewood, Pa./Haverford) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week on Tuesday.

Everett's biggest of her eight hits last week came with two outs during the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday as she delivered a walk-off, three-run double to beat Penn State New Kensington in game one of a doubleheader sweep.

Overall last week, Everett collected nine RBI and four runs scored, while tallying five extra-base hits. She recorded her first three-hit game of the season at Albright, while posting a pair of four-RBI efforts.

In 19 games this spring, Everett is batting .349 with eight extra-base hits. She ranks fifth on the team with 14 RBI, while scoring eight runs.

In addition to Everett's individual award, Brandywine softball was named team of the week by the PSUAC. The Lions went 6-0 last week with two walk-off triumphs. After winning all four conference games, Brandywine secured a postseason bid for the 10th-straight year.

Brandywine (24-6, 12-2 PSUAC) visits Cabrini for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday at 3:00 PM.
