Brandywine Eases To First Conference Victory

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team posted a lopsided 10-0 victory at Penn State Fayette during its Penn State University Athletic Conference opener Saturday afternoon.

The victory was the 45th-straight win over a conference foe for the Lions. Brandywine is now undefeated (53-0-1) in its last 54 PSUAC games.

Khafren Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) and Alex Sydor (White Plains, N.Y./Ardsley) both scored three times during the opening half as the Lions did all of their scoring during the first 45 minutes. Smith also assisted on tallies from Tyler Skaer (Brookhaven, Pa./The Christian Academy) and Samuel Rodriguez (Media, Pa./Venezuela Schools).

Also netting goals were Nick Gaither (Boerne, Texas./Samuel V. Champion) and Nick Sinigaglio (Carney's Point, N.J./Penns Grove). For Gaither, it was his second score of the season, while Sinigaglio found the back of the net for the first time in his career.

Zachary Ritz (Woodlyn, Pa./Ridley) went untested in net to earn his first victory of the fall. Brandywine outshot Fayette 23-0.

Brandywine (5-2-1, 1-0 PSUAC) closes out its weekend in western Pennsylvania Sunday in a non-conference tilt at Thiel beginning at 1:00 pm.
